Commissions

Commissioning original artwork is a very special and personal experience, whether you're looking to memorialize a beloved pet, or seeking that perfect lion cub drawing to hang in your baby-animal-themed nursery! 

 

As a foundation to aid in your decision of what kind of portrait you’re looking for, outlined below are my current standard commission price and size options (all measurements are in inches).  For work outside of this scope, we can set up a time to chat and go over your project in more detail so I can provide an accurate quote.

I work from photos, so a high-quality image is important. For pet portraits, I usually reference between 6-12 clear photos, to help me get the best idea of fur colour and pattern, eye colour, etc. I aim to capture that "extra something" that makes your pet so special and unique, so any stories, personality traits or anecdotes that you would like to share with me really helps me add character to the portrait. This would also be the time to let me know if there is a picture that depicts a specific pose you would like me to capture in my drawing, as well as other details you might want included or excluded (i.e. - a collar or leash).

For wildlife drawings, where you may have just a concept or idea as opposed to specific reference photos, we can work together to determine what exactly you're looking for. I am confident we can bring your vision to life!

Depending on the size of portrait, the turnaround time is between 2 - 8 weeks.
