This 9.75x11.75 inch White Woodgrain Frame contains my original 5x7 oil-based colour pencil drawing, called “A Clumsy Courtship". The frame is set up for wall mounting or table top display. This drawing also comes with a little story on a laminated card: “I recently learned a delightful fact about cardinals, that part of their courtship involves the male cardinal feeding the female. When I read this fact, my mind immediately imagined some ancient Greek goddess lounging about fabulously, whilst having grapes hand-fed to her by her many courtiers (I may need to lay off the romance novels for a bit). After returning from that little tangent, I imagined it must be more difficult to feed your mate with the absence of hands. Thus, this drawing was born: a clumsier courting, where the male cardinal dive-bombs the female with his offerings of food and love. Sweet, if not altogether graceful."
